Wait on The Lord?

ISAIAH 26 : 1 - 5 NKJV
 In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
“We have a strong city;
God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.
Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in YAH, the Lordis everlasting strength.
For He brings down those who dwell on high,
The lofty city;
He lays it low,
He lays it low to the ground,
He brings it down to the dust.

In the above scripture we can see that perfect peace is the blessing that GOD gives to those who wait on Him. That is a person whose mind is stayed on GOD and who trusts in Him.

ISAIAH 40 : 31 NKJV
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

From Isaiah 40 : 31 we can see that those who wait on The LORD will be strong and not be wearied, but will be refreshed by GOD.

MATTHEW 11 : 28 - 30 NKJV
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus promises rest for the wearied souls and an easy yoke for those who place their trust in Him.
God is wonderful! His plan is that His people will have rest from fear, stress and anxiety. A life of perfect peace and an easy yoke. Well that all sounds great but do you have that life in you or are you even obtaining it from God? The key to getting this wonderful life from God is surrendering to God to live for Him. For example a person who is working things out for themselves will have the stresses and burdens that go with that, but the person who asks God for directions and who obeys them will have perfect peace because God never fails. Surely it is a journey with God to obtain this life and only He can take a person to that place of faith in Him. If you want to go on that journey then it begins with you asking God to take you there.

HEBREWS 3 : 7 - 19 NKJV
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,
Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation,
And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,
And they have not known My ways.’
11 So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’”
12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

Failure of the Wilderness Wanderers

16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
