Wait on The Lord?

ISAIAH 26 : 1 - 5 NKJV   In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; God  will appoint salvation  for  walls and bulwarks. 2  Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. 3  You will keep  him  in perfect peace, Whose  mind  is  stayed  on You, Because he trusts in You. 4  Trust in the  Lord  forever, For in YAH, the  Lord ,  is  everlasting strength. 5  For He brings down those who dwell on high, The lofty city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He brings it down to the dust. In the above scripture we can see that perfect peace is the blessing that GOD gives to those who wait on Him. That is a person whose mind is stayed on GOD and who trusts in Him. ISAIAH 40 : 31 NKJV 31  But those who wait on the  Lord Shall renew  their  strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. From Isaiah 40 : 31 we can see t

Covenant

When a sinner seeks God for salvation, what happens? I mean how does that person find salvation? If that person enters into an agreement to do the will of God, then God is able to save that person. If the person is not giving themself to do the will of God then that person remains a sinner and will not be saved. (Sin is disobedience to God.) Salvation is from sin. So therefore, there must be a covenant between both parties. We can not obey God without God to empower us to do His will. That is why we need a savior. When we enter that covenant with God, we are asking God to forgive us for sinning against our fellow man and against Him. We are committing to obey God and asking that He will save us. In saving us, God will reveal to us our sinfulness and require of us that we repent, or sin no more. 1 PETER 2 : 1 - 10 NKJV   Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,  2  as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow th

Temptation

JAMES 1 : 12 - 15 NKJV 12  Blessed  is  the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.  13  Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.  14  But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.  15  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Firstly God does not tempt us. Secondly everyone who is tempted is drawn away by their own desires. Thirdly if given to the temptation then sin is born. Finally that sin brings death. Therefore we must not give in to temptation because if we do then it is a death sentence. In other words sin does not bring forth salvation, but eternal condemnation. Satan and his demons are constantly tempting people into sin.  GENESIS 4 : 7 NKJV 7  If you do well, will you not be accepted
