You can run but you can not hide.

We can do as we please because God has given us all a free will. Every moment of every day we exercise that free will by the choices that we make when we respond to our circumstances. We can be happy or sad, disappointed or accepting, forgiving or unforgiving, etc. We decide how we will respond. Like saying, "My cup is half full" or "My cup is half empty". We could also choose to be angry or bitter or depressed, etc. If we have chosen to be christians, we do not need to have any negatives in our life, because Jesus Christ will set us free. Again, that would be our choice, exercising our free will. If we ask Him why we are angry, bitter, frustrated, depressed, fearful, anxious, untruthful, unsubmitted, lusty, immoral, self-centered, etc. , then He will tell us the truth. Once we have the truth, again we choose what we are going to do. Will we repent and be free or will we remain trapped in our problems? If we do not hear God very clearly then we can ask others to pra

Apathy

Why do people lose interest in certain activities in life? Are they bored because that activity seems to be the same every day, week, month, year? Like watching the same television program over and over, it can become very predictable. Could it be because that person's expectation of that particular activity is not being fulfilled? Let us then apply these thoughts to the christian walk. Many people seem to start out with great enthusiasm for God and the things of God, but gradually over time become apathetic. I have heard some people say that the newborn believers make the best evangelists, which is a lie because they do not know Jesus Christ or His gospel. I believe that those people have said this because they have observed the zeal of new believers. The inference here is that as one progresses that zeal is lost. Well it does not have to be that way. Authority 2

How much authority do we have? How much are we listened to? Are we obeyed by our children? When we speak are others convicted through what we say to them? Do they pretend to listen but their mind is elsewhere? Do other people say the same things to them and those people are listened to but you are not? It could be frustrating if one has something important to say but those who need to hear are not interested. (One should not get frustrated, but that is another subject.) It is all about submission! Firstly how much do we submit, or have we submitted to people of authority in our lives? As children many of us have seen the authority person as the bad guy, the one who tells us to do the things that we do not want to do and the one who tells us off when we do the things that we want to do. Our response to authority figures then could be to avoid them so that we can do as we please, and then we could have thought that that makes us the authority, the ruler of our own kingdom. (It does not,
