Being "Led by the Flesh"

ROMANS 8 : 5-8 NKJV

 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
If therefore one is led by their flesh then they are obedient to their flesh and disobedient to God. 

 GALATIANS 5 : 16-25 NKJV
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Those who are led by their flesh are engaged in some or all the things listed above in verses 19-21 and as you can see these ones will not inherit the kingdom of God. But those who are "Led by The Spirit" will be empowered by the fruits of The Spirit and will have crucified their flesh with it's passions and desires. As I have explained in past posts the only way to put to death the deeds of your flesh is in the Power of The Holy Spirit.

ROMANS 8 : 13-14 NKJV

13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

So then what is it like to have life in the flesh? Well if you live according to your own desires and do not submit everything to God then you are in your flesh. How much do you ask God what He wants you to do? Where He wants you to go? What He wants you to say? What He wants you to pray?

JAMES 4 : 13-17 NKJV

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Therefore those who are not "Led by The Spirit of God" are sinners. Those who live in their flesh will also carry all of their own burdens. They will get stressed when they have problems and try to resolve them themselves, instead of going to God for the answers. They will be angry and blame others when things go wrong, instead of going to God for the answers. They will hold grudges against others and be impatient with others,etc...

MATTHEW 11 : 28-30 NKJV

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Actually those who are "led by their flesh" are missing out on Life and Peace, because they are carrying the yoke of all of their own problems with no real answers. They are trapped!!! It does not make you feel good if you are angry or envious or bitter or unforgiving or impatient or stressed, etc.

JOHN 8 : 34-36

34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Therefore as I have already said those who are "led by their flesh" do not have salvation. These ones are disobedient to God and are not His. Also they are missing out on real living with freedom from the bondage of their sin and a life filled with "Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control" and an easy yoke, no longer carrying their own burdens. Salvation is to be transformed from being a sinner enslaved in sin, which is burdensome, to being "Led by The Spirit of God", which is life and peace. You may call yourself a christian but that does not mean that you are one. Many people call themselves good but they do not understand what good is. If you do not know how to obtain this salvation, I urge you to ask God for it in the name of Jesus Christ.

You can run but you can not hide.

We can do as we please because God has given us all a free will. Every moment of every day we exercise that free will by the choices that we make when we respond to our circumstances. We can be happy or sad, disappointed or accepting, forgiving or unforgiving, etc. We decide how we will respond. Like saying, "My cup is half full" or "My cup is half empty". We could also choose to be angry or bitter or depressed, etc. If we have chosen to be christians, we do not need to have any negatives in our life, because Jesus Christ will set us free. Again, that would be our choice, exercising our free will. If we ask Him why we are angry, bitter, frustrated, depressed, fearful, anxious, untruthful, unsubmitted, lusty, immoral, self-centered, etc. , then He will tell us the truth. Why is it not working? Part 1.

  Why is it not working?   PART 1. What is not working? The Christian church of Australia is not functioning as it should be. It is broken down and ineffective in this broken World to whom it should be light and salvation. Matthew 5 : 14-16 NKJV 14  “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.   15  Nor do they   light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all  who are  in the house.   16  Let your light so shine before men,   that they may see your good works and   glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 28 : 19-20 NKJV 19  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always,  even  to the end of the age.” Amen. As the church of today in Australia let us look at ourselves in the mirror and see what fruit we are bearing to God.
