What is Revival?

Revival happens when a person is awakened to their sinfulness and chooses to turn away from that sin and obey God. In other words the sin that is ruling over them leading them to death is revealed to them and they choose life.

What is Salvation?

Salvation  happens in the life of a true believer every day. (One who is walking in revival) That is because salvation is from sin and all sin leads to death. (Please read my blog post on “True Salvation Explained.”) One who is working out their own salvation with fear and trembling, is the one who is constantly being shown their sin by The Holy Spirit and is asking for forgiveness and is being set free daily. This is described in the Word of God as Sanctification.

 

2 Thessalonians 2 : 10-14 NKJV

and with all unrighteous deception among, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved those who perish. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

I am writing this to bring clarity for all believers as to what revival is, because there are many who have other impressions of what revival is. Many believe that revival happens when there are various signs and wonders and miracles, but that is not so. But that does not mean that signs and wonders and miracles will not be present when there is a revival. In fact there are many believers that are waiting for God to bring revival so that they can be used powerfully by Him. (Some have been waiting for a long time.) They have been waiting amiss. God does not want to use people whom He has not trained and prepared, especially not those who are still trapped in their sin.

 

2 Timothy 2: 19-21 NKJV

19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

 

Therefore, the more sanctified a person becomes the more useful that one is to God. Also, if you are unsanctified then you are useless to God. If then you are waiting for God to use you, are you waiting amiss? Many have been prophesied over but little or no fruit has come yet. Why? Have you surrendered your will to do the will of God? If you have not, then you can ask God to surrender you to Him by The Holy Spirit and if you obey Him in all things you will be having your own personal revival. If you do not then you simply will not be saved as the above scriptures clearly say.

Why is it not working? Part 1.

  Why is it not working?   PART 1. What is not working? The Christian church of Australia is not functioning as it should be. It is broken down and ineffective in this broken World to whom it should be light and salvation. Matthew 5 : 14-16 NKJV 14  “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.   15  Nor do they   light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all  who are  in the house.   16  Let your light so shine before men,   that they may see your good works and   glorify your Father in heaven. As the church of today in Australia let us look at ourselves in the mirror and see what fruit we are bearing to God.

You can run but you can not hide.

We can do as we please because God has given us all a free will. Every moment of every day we exercise that free will by the choices that we make when we respond to our circumstances. We can be happy or sad, disappointed or accepting, forgiving or unforgiving, etc. We decide how we will respond. Like saying, "My cup is half full" or "My cup is half empty". We could also choose to be angry or bitter or depressed, etc. If we have chosen to be christians, we do not need to have any negatives in our life, because Jesus Christ will set us free. Again, that would be our choice, exercising our free will. If we ask Him why we are angry, bitter, frustrated, depressed, fearful, anxious, untruthful, unsubmitted, lusty, immoral, self-centered, etc. , then He will tell us the truth.
