Why is it not working? PART 1.
What is not
working? The Christian church of Australia is not functioning as it should be.
It is broken down and ineffective in this broken World to whom it should be
light and salvation.
Matthew 5 : 14-16 NKJV
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a
lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to
all who are in the house. 16 Let your
light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works and glorify
your Father in heaven.
Matthew 28 : 19-20 NKJV
19 Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the
end of the age.” Amen.
As the church of today in Australia let
us look at ourselves in the mirror and see what fruit we are bearing to God.
More to the point let us see how we are doing as a team, team God, the body of
Christ.
1 Corinthians 12 : 25-28
25 that there should
be no schism in the body, but that the members should
have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer
with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice
with it.
27 Now you are
the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 And God has
appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third
teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of
healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
Questions:
Is the church of Australia growing in
general?
Is the church of Australia the powerful
voice of truth in our communities?
Is the world around us learning more
about Jesus every day because of our testimony?
Answers:
The church of Australia has been in
decline for decades.
The voice of the church is rarely heard
or listened to in our communities.
The world around us believes
predominately in science because that is what is taught to be the truth.
We know that is not what God desires of
us, as briefly stated in the scriptures that I have quoted above from His Word.
Why then are we in this pathetic state of
ineffectiveness?
Whose fault is it?
Is it our fault?
Is it the Leadership’s fault?
Is it God’s fault?
Whether you realise it or not most
people do not look at themselves to see if it is their fault but generally
blame someone else. Well, we are all in this together. (We who call Jesus
Christ our Lord are one body.)
God never gets anything wrong He is Infallible!!!
You may have prayed a great deal for
revival but it has not happened yet. Maybe it seems to you that God has lost
interest in His church and in the world around us. Most certainly not as God is
forever faithful to His Word.
2 Chronicles 7 : 14
14 if My people who
are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My
face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and
will forgive their sin and heal their land.
If then we who call ourselves Christians
will do our part as stated above then God is absolutely faithful to doing His
part. Therefore if we were doing our part then our land would be healed, but it
is not. It can only be us who is the problem. If we understood what we were
getting wrong would we continue in it? Hopefully not! We need understanding so
that we can move forward in ways that are pleasing to God.
We all have an enemy and his name is satan!
He is winning!
His fruit is everywhere!
Satan
delights in not being seen. He starts fights and the fruit is generally
division. There is only supposed to be one church, one body of Christ, with one
heart and one mind. We can see the evidence of satan’s works in the fact that we have several denominations
and that is just one of the problems that he has created.
Amos 3 : 3 NKJV
3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
Mark 3 : 24-25 NKJV
24 If a kingdom is divided against
itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a
house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
In the
church of today in Australia you will hear people say things like “Let us just
agree to disagree”. That is the fruit of satan
coming out of someone’s mouth. God calls us to be one and that is that we are
to be united in the truth. So we must pursue the truth together and always be
reconciled to one another.
Psalm 133 NKJV
Behold, how good and how
pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there
the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
Acts 2 : 1-4

2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully
come, they were all with
one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled
the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then
there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat
upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled
with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit
gave them utterance.
Acts 2 : 38-42

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be
baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you
shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children,
and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
A Vital Church Grows
40 And with many other words he testified and
exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then
those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued
steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of
bread, and in prayers.
Did you
notice in the above scriptures some of the blessings of being in unity?
In Acts
Chapter 2 the disciples were “all with one accord” and that day God added 3000
souls to His body.
John 17 : 20-23

Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but
also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one,
as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that
the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have
given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I
in them, and You in Me; that
they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent
Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Well, will you look at that for a
prayer. Look at the outcome of that oneness, the World will know that the
Christ has come!!! Therefore how important is Unity in the Body of Christ?
Salvation comes from it! Want to see a revival? Be a part of pursuing satan out of the church! I urge
you to cry out in prayer for God to expose the disunity in you and in your
house and in His church, that we may all be one, in Him. It is time for us all
to see our enemy, and if we ask God to show him to us, then He will.
Another place that satan has successfully
infiltrated is the bible colleges.
Just like a sporting team you could be
blaming the coach for the lack of real fruit in your church, but generally that
leader has faithfully been trained in a bible school. If you can lead the
leader off course then all that are following that leader have the potential of
being led astray also, so that is an ideal place for satan to attack. I believe that the bible school teachers
and the leaders that they are training generally are doing their absolute best
for the Glory of God. Does that however mean that they have it all correct? The
fruit of all of that training is the unfruitful church of today. I am not
blaming them but I am pointing to the one who has managed over the years to
deceive them and that one is satan.
By the way I am not saying that everything that they teach is incorrect, in
fact probably most of it is correct. The problem is that something that is
almost the truth is in fact a lie.
In general from my own experiences the
bible schools teach their students how to analyse the Word of God in order to
understand what the true meanings of the scripture are. That is an incredibly
inferior way to understand what God is saying. The best way to understand what
God is saying is to ask Him what He is saying and how to apply it. (If you are
not asking God to give you understanding in this way then you are proud and
will not receive His grace to be able to understand. In other words you have
said “I can work out what you are saying God, I do not need your assistance”.)
God is all about having a relationship with His children and teaching them
Himself. In this way God trains His own disciples and teaches them how to be
led by Him. I am not saying that bible schools should not exist, but rather
they should be equipping leaders to become more intimate with God so that they
can be truly led by God Himself. I would say that everyone who I have ever met
that has been to a bible school/college has told me that it was a dry
experience, meaning ,that there was little to no Holy Spirit in the experience.
Again the fruit of satan.
1 John 2 : 27-29 NKJV
27 But
the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you
do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you
concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught
you, you will abide in Him.
28 And now, little children, abide in Him,
that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed
before Him at His coming. 29 If you know that He is
righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of
Him.
From 1 John
2 : 27 we can see that it is The Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth, if we
submit ourselves to Him.
In the
days of the early church there was no New Testament and there were no bible
colleges as we have them today. They were led by The Holy Spirit as we all
should be today. I believe that it is time for us all to ask God to completely
surrender us all to the leading of His Holy Spirit.
You may
say of me “by what authority do you bring us this correction?” And my answer is
that I have brought this correction in the authority of The Word of God. God
has shown me the state of His church over the years and He has taught me the
scripture that applies, which I have quoted to you from the New King James
Version of the Holy Bible. I have a lot more to say on the state of the church
in Australia today. This is only part one. I really want to help the church to
see what God has shown me, that we all may be truly as one in Christ Jesus.
Just as the Prayer of Jesus Christ Himself in John 17 : 20-23 says.
Please
share this word with every believer that you know. I believe that this word above has been inspired By God to help His
people (us) to seek Him and that the fruit of that will be the REVIVAL that all
true believers have been seeking for a long time. It starts with us drawing
near to Him.
